On September 6, KCAO held a Health Clinic for its Head Start families. Families received vision and hearing screenings, dental screenings, and flu and COVID-19 vaccines during this event.

Kettleman City FRC Back to School Event
On August 6, the KCAO Kettleman City Resource Center hosted its annual Back to School Event. Participants received backpacks, school supplies, free haircuts, a shoe giveaway, a COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine Clinic, and more during the event.

KCAO's Food Bank Service Center Gets Major Funding to Address Local Needs
On June 18th, KCAO received a generous funding opportunity of $612,426 from the County Board of Supervisors to support the KCAO Food Bank Service Center (FBSC) project.
KCAO Community Garden
Our Community Garden features 16 garden beds and nine fruit trees. It is open to the community Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M.- 4:30 P.M. Our goal is to sustain growth and harvest fruits and vegetables throughout the year.
Avenal State Prison Donation to the Barbara Saville Shelter

On May 18, Head Start and Early Head Start celebrate their birthday. Celebrating 59 years of nurturing America's youth, Head Start programs continue to provide essential early learning, health, and family services to children from birth to age 5.
