Parental Choice Child Care: Parents can choose the type of care and specific child care provider that they feel best meets their family needs. They can pick a licensed child care center, a licensed family child care home, a before/after school program, a legally license-exempt provider such as a relative (a grandparent, aunt or uncle) or a friend or neighbor.

California Alternative Payment Program (CAPP)
The California Alternative Payment Program provides subsidized child care services for low to moderate income families. Parents must be working, enrolled in training towards a vocational goal, physically or mentally incapacitated (as verified by a doctor), seeking employment.
