Hundreds of cars lined up around West Hills College Lemoore starting at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday for a free Thanksgiving food distribution sponsored by groups including Best Buy Market, KCAO, CalViva Health, and the Central California Foodbank.

More than 50 people turned out for the food distribution pickup at the First Methodist Church in Hanford on Tuesday morning. Included for each customer were boxes of salad, fresh corn, canned tuna, selected fruits, and bottled water.
Early Learning Center opens in Hanford, can accommodate 180 preschool students
The Kings County office of Education has opened a new school in Hanford specifically built for the needs of preschool children.
Besides making up for spaces lacking in the Kings County area, the school is ideal for parents who might not have the money to pay for a private preschool, according to Kings County Superintendent of Schools Todd Barlow.
Free groceries available to students at WHCL's Golden Eagle Pantry
West Hills College Lemoore hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their on-campus Golden Eagle Food Pantry Wednesday.
The pantry is a collaborative project supported by Kings Community Action Organization, CalViva Health, and West Hills College Lemoore and provides groceries at no cost to WHCL students.
