Community Garden Volunteers Needed
KCAO’s Community Garden at the Home Garden Opportunity Center provides a place where community members can plant fruits, vegetables and herbs to help supplement their food needs.
Currently we’re in need of volunteers to help with cleaning up the garden.
The clean up will be Saturday, January 13 and 27 from 9am to noon.
The garden is located at 11593 10th Avenue in Hanford.
If you love working outside, need a break from computer screens and want to contribute to helping the community eat healthy, then this is the opportunity for you.

VITA Volunteers Needed
KCAO is also seeking volunteers who are interested in learning and doing taxes.
VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, is a nationwide program funded to help low-income families file their taxes and apply for tax credits for free.
Volunteers are needed to help the community file taxes from January to April.
Gain valuable work experience and tax knowledge.
Training dates are from January 3rd to the 6th from 9am to 4pm at the KCAO main office at 1130 North 11th Avenue in Hanford.
