Hams for Christmas

KCAO News Briefs: December 3 to 9

KCAO will be giving away hams for Christmas. Hams will be given away at KCAO Food Distributions.

We encourage recipients to pick up food ONLY from the city they reside in. We will also be providing a variety of other items such as flour, produce boxes, tortillas, hominy, and dried fruit. For December we have about 2,800 hams to give away.

To give you an idea of the scope of our food distributions, here are the stats for the month of November. 26 food distributions were held in November. 10,044 families were served and a total of 23,898 individuals received assistance. 220,589 pounds of food were distributed. Food distributions reached 6 cities in Kings County. 5 food drives were organized. 522 volunteers contributed their efforts. Volunteers dedicated a total of 1,585 hours.
