KCAO News Briefs: September 10 to 16

Welcome to your weekly KCAO update. 

This September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating food insecurity. This week, KCAO would like to bring awareness to a few of the local food pantries and programs available in the community. These food pantries and programs typically offer a variety of items like dairy products, fresh fruits and veggies, meats, and canned goods. 
 
Golden Eagle Pantry 

The Golden Eagle Pantry is located at West Hills College Lemoore in the Student Union Building at 555 College Ave., Lemoore. This pantry is open to all students currently enrolled at West Hills College. It's available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. For more details, call the Student Union at (559) 925-3436 or visit westhillscollege.com. 

Family Healthcare Network Food Pantry

The Family Healthcare Network Food Pantry is a service for its patients. Located at the Hanford Health Center at 250 W. Fifth Street. The pantry is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for eligible patients. 

 
Groceries2Go 

In addition to our partner food pantries, KCAO also offers the Groceries2Go Program, a scheduled grocery pick-up service. This program operates out of the Kettleman City Family Resource Center at 75 Fifth Street and is available to Kettleman City residents. You'll need to book an appointment online in advance, and you can make up to two appointments every 30 days. For more info, visit kcao.org/family-resource-centers or call (559) 386-1693.
