KCAO News Briefs: October 8 to 14
Domestic Violence Services
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this week we’d like to spotlight the domestic violence services KCAO offers through Crisis Support Services.
A cornerstone of these services is the Barbara Saville Shelter. This sanctuary offers more than just a roof over your head; it provides a safe space for survivors of gender-based violence, including those who have experienced physical, sexual, emotional, or economic abuse.
KCAO also offers legal assistance, specifically in obtaining restraining orders to help ensure your safety.
Additionally, we provide counseling services to help you navigate the emotional complexities that come with surviving abuse.
If you're faced with legal proceedings, our team is there to accompany you to court, providing moral and informational support.

And for those immediate, pressing concerns, we have a Crisis Line available for immediate help and resources. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, or human trafficking, help is just a phone call away. Reach out to our 24-hour Crisis Hotline at 1-877-727-3225.
