KCAO News Briefs: Week of June 11-17

Welcome to this week's KCAO News Briefs for June 11-17. We're keeping you updated on the recent developments and upcoming events in our community.

This week, we highlight KCAO's bid to secure a significant grant from the Yield Giving Open Call, a nationwide philanthropic initiative targeting organizations making a significant impact in communities with the most significant need across the U.S. With $250 million available in total grants, KCAO could be one of 250 organizations to receive a $1 million grant to further our initiatives.

We also delve into the Summer Food Services Program (SFSP), which provides nutritious meals to children from low-income families during the summer months. Get all the details on our SFSP page.

The Family Resource Center (FRC) has released its June calendar with a variety of activities and resources designed to nurture families and foster connections within our community. Check it out on the FRC page.

New health and safety classes are now available on the Resource and Referral page. These classes cater to new license applicants and assistants working in FCC homes, ensuring they meet community care licensing requirements.
