Lower your utility bill with Power Saver Rewards
During the summer season the demand for energy rises for uses such as household cooling on hot days. During times of particularly high energy use, the electrical grid can become stressed and our community may experience power outages. To help relieve this stress and ensure our community stays energized, we are partnering with local community-based organizations to help you save energy and money through Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Power Saver Rewards program.

What is Power Saver Rewards?
Power Saver Rewards is a free, no-penalty program that rewards you with bill credits when you conserve energy during program events. Events are scheduled only as needed during the summer season — from May 1st to October 31st — and can only occur between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. You will be notified by email one day in advance of a scheduled event or can sign up to receive text notifications.
How much can I earn?
You’ll earn $2 for each kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity you save. A typical customer who lowers energy usage during eight events over an annual season could earn $40 in bill credits.* There are no costs or penalties if you are unable to participate in an event, but the more you conserve, the more you’ll earn.
It’s easy to participate
There are simple things you can do can to reduce your energy use during events, such as turning up your thermostat to 78˚ or higher, using major appliances before or after events, and/or visiting your local community cooling center on hot days so you don’t have to rely on the A/C in your home. Even switching off unnecessary lights and devices can help the community and earn you credits.

* $40 bill credit per summer season assumes .5 kW per hour x 5 hours/event = 2.5 kWh/event x $2/kWh = $5/event x 8 events per season (based upon number of Flex Alerts in 2021) = $40 each summer season. Incentives are applied in the first quarter of the following year and may vary based on actual load reduction during Power Saver Rewards event(s) and actual number of events. Power Saver Rewards is administered by Olivine, Inc. as an Olivine ClimateResponseTM program.
