CalFresh Nutrition Classes
Funded by the California Department of Public Health, the CalFresh Healthy Living program focuses on increasing healthy behaviors among low-income populations living within Kings County via:
Physical activity education
Nutrition education
Community outreach events
Partnerships
The program also strives to create policies and environments that support fruit and vegetable consumption, and daily physical activity for the target population.
To achieve its goals, the program conducts education in creative and culturally appropriate methods at:
Schools
Worksites
Community centers
